Editorial Reviews and DVD Information about Halloween 5 - The Revenge of Michael Myers

Amazon.com
Starting around Halloween 4, that masked nut Michael Myers stopped chasing his sister (played by Jamie Lee Curtis in the first and second films, as well as Halloween H20) and went after his niece. Now he's chasing her around again in part 5, but it's a lot of other people who die in the process. Donald Pleasence continues his mad-doctor bit from the earlier movies, Danielle Harris is the unfortunate relation, and Donald L. Shanks plays the monster. The film is an improvement on parts 2 and 4 (part 3 having nothing to do with Michael Myers), but it still amounts to routine slaughter with none of John Carpenter's stylistic brilliance from the original movie. --Tom Keogh

Customer Reviews for Halloween 5 - The Revenge of Michael Myers

This was a good One!
H5: The Revenge of Micael Myers, is said to have failed and be the worst in the series, but I can't figure out what is so bad about it. It's almost like Halloween 4, it has most of the same characters like Jamie, Rachel, Dr. Loomis, and of course Myers!

This movie also had some decent killes

SPOILER

There is a really good death scene where a couple is having sex in a cellar of a barn, and the boy is impaled with a pitchfork, while the woman is sliced up with a scythe.

Then this boy gets his faced picked with a pitchfork leading to a bloody finish.

This time, Jamie has returned back to normal by the help of a childrens clinic she stays at, shes has developed a 'boy' friend named William (Billy). She must stop Michael from claiming her just like the fourth.

This is one of my favs, why don't other people think that way?Halloween 5 - The Revenge of Michael Myers

good quality
Love it that the saga continues! It was great quality, you would never know that it was made so long ago. Shipped fast.Halloween 5 - The Revenge of Michael Myers

Love Horror
Horror movies are really fun to watch, and Halloween 5 is another great installment to the Halloween series. Michael Myers is actually one of the creepiest "monsters" in a horror movie. Aside from the fact that he just won't die, it is actually within the realm of possibility that something like what happens in these movies could actually happen, increasing the scare-factor of this movie. There are pleanty of places in this movie to make a first time watcher jump. As you never know when Michael will appear he really can move fast. So if you haven't seen this or any of the others in the series...take a chance and get scared cause its pretty creepy!Halloween 5 - The Revenge of Michael Myers

It's starting to get old.
Halloween five?
Wasn't one and two enough?
Clearly not for Hollyweird, who insists on beating the franchise to death for every last penny.
Michael survives yet again to terrorize everyone in the most gruesome fashion.
This film doesn't even resemble the original in any way and the story is getting cornier with each installment.
A psychic connection???
It reeks of desperation the Hollyweird's part for a story line of ANY kind.
And Michael getting broken out by the person in black sets up part six which is also a disaster.
For hardcore Halloween fans only.
I can't recommend this, it's just your standard blood and guts with a sorry story line.
Halloween 5 - The Revenge of Michael Myers

Not The best Movie.... But
I would have to say the Halloween 5 and The curse of Michael Myers are the worst of the bunch. and as a lot of Halloween fans will say "halloween 3 does not count". That being said, I would say I enjoyed the directors commentary of Halloween 5 because it gave the director a chance to defend his choices of why he did what he did. I think it's much better than sitting through the whole movie wondering "why did they do something stupid like that". I dont agree with most of his choices but at least I understand his mind set a little better. Besides, hardcore halloween fans have to buy every Michael Myers related offering anyway so why should this one be any different than the twelve copies of the original Halloween we buy just because it comes in a different style case?Halloween 5 - The Revenge of Michael Myers
