Alphabet Phonics & Fun
18 month old thinks its perfect!
my son watches this on demand on tv, he is only 18 months, but has learned quite a bit from it. he can tell you what letter comes after certain letters, and he has recognized a lot of written letters, like "A, F, Y, and X". I think it is definatly due to the videos that he knows the letters. He also finds it very interesting. It is not the most visual thing, they show real people saying the letters and then they show items that begin with that letter.Alphabet Phonics & Fun
Encourages children
This moderately entertaining dvd features kids only and has encouraged my 5 year old daughter to want write her uppercase alphabet. We have a big library of education dvds and this one adds diversity and is quite educational.Alphabet Phonics & Fun
Poor quality
It is a great idea for a DVD, but the quality of the video was not good at all. My 14 month old was bored and wants me to change the DVD every time I try to put it in. He is much more interested in Baby Einstein.Alphabet Phonics & Fun
Boring
I think this is a good educational video that teaches letters, sounds, and words that begin with the letter. But, my kids don't seem to like the video. They leave after 10 minutes.Alphabet Phonics & Fun
This video has helped our late talker!!!
I have a 4 year old son with autism, who has always loved the entire Baby BumbleBee series. They have really helped him to be able to generalize his vocabulary and expand his concepts.....like when he sees that there is such a thing as picture of a lion, and a toy lion, and a real lion.
I also have a sweet 2 year old girl who has only recently started talking. We of course were concerned, but she has really blossomed, especially in regards to this video! She and her brother will sit there together, and when they show a letter, they both will SHOUT it out at the same time. They also will repeat the sound the letters make along with the kids on the video. The video shows a variety of words that start with a letter(which both kids love announcing too!), then shows a little girl writing the letter. I keep foam letters in the bathtub, and now when my daughter gets her bath, she is so excited to pick up the letters and name them on her own.
All of these Baby Bumblebee videos have helped my kids with object labels which in turn has helped them improve their receptive language.Alphabet Phonics & Fun
