Rejoice, Russell Crowe fans. The Aussie actor-heartthrob and his rock group get the royal treatment with this elaborate DVD, which includes a 78-minute documentary and numerous special features. But the question must be asked: Would we care about this band if Crowe weren't the lead singer? Probably not. Nor would we be inclined to try to navigate this annoying package, with its endless instructions (One sample: "To access the Minus 3 Foot level, in the Secret Bonus Photos Gallery, press 'Up' on the third photo, and then 'Down' on the fifth..."), secret codes, and so on. Perhaps that's all designed to distract us from the music, which consists of journeyman rock with standard-issue tunes, decent playing, and a very average vocalist. As a musician, Crowe makes a wonderful actor. Hey, if he wants to play music, more power to him--but this is not a band that's destined for greatness. --Sam Graham

Patience
It takes a while to be able to view all the DVD has to offer but it is worth it. Working thru the puzzles added more to the experience than just staring at the toob.30 Odd Foot of Grunts - Texas
A fun DVD
With all of it's features, each time you watch it, you notice something new! I love the extra footage, really shows how the guys work well together, are funny people, and serious about their music.30 Odd Foot of Grunts - Texas

If you are a Russell Crowe fan you must see this side of him amd hear TOFOG music. A real slice of life video. Very sophisticated levels and depths to this DVD. You never know what you will find next.30 Odd Foot of Grunts - Texas
"......Put a Candle in your bathroom...."
I believe I am quoting part of what Russell Crowe said from this absolutely entertaining DVD. This is a message I am borrowing to say "Just Chill" and enjoy the work in tyring to access the many levels of this DVD. "This is a Drill!!"
I thought this DVD was entertaining, fun, a good time and a lesson in the hard facts of life.
I love the opening part with Billy Dean Cochran's introduction and the train passing by and the music to it just captures the moment. This DVD like TOFOG's songs tell a story. That to me is a very important ingredient in making music...The band members (like many others out there!)all worked very hard to get where they are...and this DVD well expresses that point.
***Total FUN and total ENTERTAINMENT***in this "TEXAS" DVD is my honest opinion.

Watching this DVD will give you a full blown stress attack
I personally love Russell Crowe and 30 Odd Foot of Grunts. My excitment in receiving this DVD was soon a great disapointment. With the DVD come four pages of instructions on how to navigate throughout the DVD to see all of the features. Some of the insutructions were very detailed including looking for hidden codes in the credits section of the four page booklet. If you were unable to successfully navigate to a certain section, you were denied access. I did not spend almost $30.00 on a DVD where I have to work so hard to figure out how to watch the DVD. I am VERY disappointed with this product, and I urge others not to buy it. My husband and I screwed around with this ridiculous DVD for almost four hours and still could not access all of the features. The features are all encrypted and encoded, and a huge pain in the [rear]. Save your money. And Russell, please forgive me for slamming this piece of garbage.30 Odd Foot of Grunts - Texas
