A beautiful end to a beautiful anime.....
We are brought to the touching end of one of the most beautiful and touching anime that has shown up in the states in a long time. Some people may not care for the art style, but I find it refreshing after so many other characters who start to look the same. This series touches on so much...what it means to be human, predjudice, the nature of love. You just can't help but to be moved by the plight of Jiro. Ishinomori touches on the plight of all the half American children born after WW2 using robots as a metaphor (Cyborg 009 touches on the same material) It reminds us that even though our outsides are diffrent, it is our hearts that are what make us human. The one weakness of the story is the ambiguous ending that opens the door to the unbelieveably awful Kikaider 01. Definately pick up this volume and forget the sequel.Android Kikaider - Silent Journey (Vol. 4)
